Little River Dragway Bracket Racing Program
Each round, we will draw cards in order to pair up cars. The first card drawn will be eligible for the bye run (if applicable), and that driver will be pulled over to the side. You are only permitted one buy run in eliminations, with the exception of a competition bye where a competitor's car breaks on the starting line. Payout
2008 Points Program - You must register at tech in order to be included in the points program. Points are acquired as follows: 25 "show up" points (you must take the tree in the 1st round), and 10 points for each round win. If you lose 1st round, you no longer accumulate points, even if you buy back. General RulesCourtesey Staging is required in ALL classes These rules are subject to change at any time. If there is any question, please check with the track manger, the tower or a track official for clarification. The current IHRA Rule Book mandates specific safety requirements for vehicles participating at all member tracks. Safety requirements specified in the current IHRA Rule Book for a specific class or ET will be in effect during all Little River Dragway race events and take precedence over information contained here. Additionally, Little River Dragway representatives have the right to disqualify an entry if, in their opinion, the vehicle presents a potential risk for the driver, crew members, other racers, track personnel or spectators. The decision of track officials is final. DISCLAIMER: The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable safety requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. DRIVERS CAUGHT DRINKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR USING ILLEGAL DRUGS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct, profane language, threatening a track official or other aggressive behavior targeted at any track official, racer or spectator will not be tolerated. Expulsion from the facility and other disciplinary action at the discretion of the track management may result. Each driver is responsible for the actions of their crew members. STUTTER BOXES, TRACK LOCATORS (counters) & SIMILAR DEVICES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Use of such devices during any run will result in immediate disqualification and expulsion from the event. Entry fees WILL NOT be refunded. Only IHRA approved electronics and throttle controllers are allowed. All installed SFI certified safety equipment must be up to date with current dates and numbers. Refer to the IHRA rule book for equipment requirements based on your class and ET. Effective Jan. 1, 2007, where a Snell- or SFI-rated helmet is required in competition, the Snell 95 and SFI 31.1, 31.2, 41.1, and 41.2 helmets will no longer be allowed. Look in the General Regulations section of the 2008 IHRA Rulebook under Helmet and Goggles for expiration dates for all Snell and SFI-tagged helmets. CLEARLY mark your car number and dial-in on the PASSENGER SIDE of the WINDSHIELD and the PASSENGER SIDE DOOR glass in 4" to 8" tall numerals before you are called to the starting line. Your dial-in cannot be changed after the entry has left the head of staging. Be sure your dial-in is correct on the dial-in display before you stage. By staging you accept it, right OR wrong, with no dispute or appeal. If you "break out" (run quicker than your dial-in) you lose, unless your opponent breaks out also. Then the vehicle breaking out the least is declared the winner in keeping with the "First or Worse" rule. If both break out by the exact same amount, the driver crossing the finish line first wins. You are disqualified if you "red light" or if you touch or cross the track centerline with any tire. In cases of two (2) infractions on the same run, the "FIRST OR WORSE" rule will be invoked; for example, a vehicle crossing the centerline loses even if this was the second infraction. Centerline violations must be witnessed by a track official. HARD BRAKING WHICH CAUSES ANY TIRE TO SKID at ANY point during ANY run will result in disqualification at the discretion of the starter. Drivers in all classes except Jr. Dragster must have a valid driver's license and be at least 16 years of age. Speed limit in the pits is 5 MPH. NO vehicle testing of any type. NO BURN OUTS. Bicycles, small motorcycles and 3 & 4 wheelers may be used for transportation in the facility. Persons operating these vehicles must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Improper use of these vehicles may result in expulsion from the facility and forfeiture of entry fees.
